MINGENEW MIDWEST EXPO – 14th & 15th August 2019, Site 136

Located approximately 380km north of Perth, and 100km south of Geraldton, the town of Mingenew hosts the McIntosh & Son Mingenew Midwest Expo. Inaugurated in 1983, the Expo was initiated by Mingenew Lions Club member Bob Paskins. Paskins’ vision was to provide a venue for businesses to exhibit to the Midwest regional and remote communities, providing vital information and updates to those involved in the industry. Recently celebrating its 36th year, the event is the largest agricultural field day in Western Australia’s Mid-West.

DOWERIN GWN7 MACHINERY FIELD DAYS – 28th & 29th August 2019, Site 330

The town of Dowerin, (settled 1897), lies approximately 180 kilometres north east of Perth, in the heart of the central wheatbelt. The Dowerin Progress Association held a meeting on May 10th 1964, with the aim of trying to find ways of preventing Dowerin becoming a ghost town, (a not uncommon fate of Wheatbelt communities across Australia). The inaugural field day was held on Friday 3rd September 1965, with some 20 exhibitors and 2,000 visitors, leading to calls for the field day to run for two days the following year. The Dowerin Field Day event continued to expand, and is the largest and most widely recognised agricultural event in Western Australia.

NEWDEGATE MACHINERY FIELD DAYS – 4th & 5th September 2019, Site 76

Newdegate is a townsite in the Great Southern agricultural region, 399 km south-east of Perth and 52 km east of Lake Grace in Western Australia. The townsite was gazetted in 1925 and honours Sir Francis Newdegate, the Governor of Western Australia from 1920 to 1924. From the first Field Days in 1973, our iconic event has grown to become one of the most renowned and recognised in the Eastern Great Southern of Western Australia. An event not to missed, promoting and celebrating agriculture.
